Trees and the environment
It's Earth Day and Arbor Day season. Feeling guilty about your carbon footprint? Don't know what a carbon footprint is? Join Vince Urbina, Colorado State Forester, as he discusses trees to plant and grow that will thrive in our area. Besides all the great information about their ornamental value, he'll talk about the specific benefits to the environment planting trees brings.

Veggie Gardening 101
Join Diana Mundinger, Eagle Crest gen. manager, as she discusses the basics, tricks and techniques for growing vegetables, herbs and other edible plants. We'll discuss soil prep, planting techniques, organic growing, tricks for growing specific crops etc. It's a hot trend, come and get inspired to start your own edible landscape.

Kid's Workshop
It's Mom's Day tomorrow; that means it's time for the kids to surprise her with a great plant created by them. This year we're going green. Members of our staff will assist the kid's in planting edible flowers and herbs into a pretty recyclable container. Mom will love it and so will the kids. This is an open ended workshop, stop in anytime between 10 and 1 and get your hands dirty. The class is free but there is a $10.00 fee for materials. Age limit 4-12 year olds. Parents, please be present at the nursery during the workshop.

Container Gardening
Another year: another container gardening seminar. If you've joined us before, you know the drill, if you haven't, this is a fun morning of learning, sharing, laughing, designing and planting a beautiful container. Be prepared for this hands-on workshop by bringing in your favorite pot or choose one from our great selection. We'll provide potting soil, ideas and inspiration to get you on your way to creating a masterpiece.

Ladies Night
Here's an idea we thought you'd like, ladies. Bring your friends or come and meet new friends in a relaxed & fun atmosphere (sorry guys and kids, this night is for women only). Get inspired with design ideas for outdoor living; get tips, tastes and recipes for using fresh herbs and veggies; taste some local Colorado wine (!);see all the new varieties of annuals and perennials ;shop for gifts or spoil yourself from our great selection.
