 Pruning | Saturday, April 28th | 10a.m.
Join members of our staff as we discuss and demonstrate proper pruning techniques. We’ll cover everything including shade trees and flowering shrubs. This will be a hands-on walk around the nursery class, so be prepared with shoes that can handle a little mud (we’ll try to avoid the big puddles). You may want to bring your best pruners and try a few cuts yourself.
Kid's Workshop | Saturday, May 12th | 9a.m.-12p.m.
Hey kid’s it’s your turn for a fun morning at Eagle Crest Nursery. Let’s all get our hands dirty and plant a pot for Mom. It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and she would sure love a pretty plant that you put together yourself. This is an open ended workshop—you can come anytime in the morning and get to work. The class is free but there is a $10.00 fee for materials. Age limit 4-12 year olds. Parents please be present at the nursery during the class.
 Container Gardening | Saturday, May 19th | 10a.m.
Join members of our staff for this ever popular class. We’ll share our experience and design ideas with you. This year we will focus on using vegetables and herbs in pots, but we’ll also include colorful annuals and perennials too. Be prepared for this hands-on workshop by bringing in your favorite pot to fill or purchase one from our great selection. We’ll provide the potting soil. Sign up early this class fills up.
Small Water Feature | Thursday, May 24th | 5:30p.m.
Check the date, this is a Thursday night class for all you who can’t attend Saturday mornings. We’ll demonstrate how to put together a small water garden. We’ll talk about proper containers to use, pumps and fountains, water plants, and fish. This is a popular project for providing a new dimension to your garden or patio.
Native Plants | Saturday, June 2nd | 10a.m.
Join members of our staff as we talk about native trees, shrubs, and perennials for our valley. We’ll also discuss plants that don’t use excess water (X-rated plants). Using native plants in a sustainable way is growing concern for many of us in this valley. We are happy to show you many of the great plants available.
